We strolled to a big win but in truth it was a close match against a side who have 2 capable strikers who if they get service will score. Keep them quiet and you have a chance against them and basically that's what we ended up doing. An odd game they had as many efforts as us but only 2 on target whilst we had more potency when it mattered. We can only beat whats in front of us and the set up played perfectly into our hands and we took our chances when they came.

We're edging closer to securing the top 6, I believe if results go in our favour we COULD cement it next game, but facing a team in a false position we have to be at our best next game!

EFL 2 promotion battle

Benfica comfortably win the pick of the bunch with a 4-1 win at home to Atalanta, with both Shakhtar and Porto also winning it gives breathing space for the top 3.

Wolfsburg, Atalanta and Lazio all drew a blank allowing Union Berlin and Lyon to close the gap to the playoffs. The top 2 will be a bit of a stretch for these teams, with playoffs being all to play for.

The promotion spots now sit with Shakhtar, Benfica and Porto.

Benfica play 6th place Lazio, with Benfica so far coming through this tough fixture list unscathed.

Will we see a change within the top 6? Will Benfica and Shakhtar extend their lead at the top? Will Porto close the gap?

18 points left to play for but we are nearing the conclusion.
