We countered our opponents for a huge chunk of the game and pretty much controlled the tie. But we conceded with the first action of the game and had to react with Obikwu scoring goal 23 of his campaign. There after we probed, tweaked the team, tried a few things but couldn't get the deserved winner. It's frustrating for sure, a win would've cemented a play off spot minimum and put us even closer to auto promotion, but a point has made a 6 point gap at least.

We won't get carried away by any means as until the maths makes it so, we wont be cheering and celebrating anything but it was a missed opportunity today for sure.

EFL 2 Promotion Battle

Shakhtar only managed a draw, but it was enough to extend their lead at the top to 6 points as Benfica lose for the second game on the bounce.

Porto make the most of the top two both dropping points with a 2-1 home win against Lyon, this brings them level with Benfica.

Wolfsburg lose at home to Salzburg as all the teams around them win, this brings Atalanta to within one point of the playoffs.

A bit of a drop down to Ajax in 8th, are we now looking at at a top 7? One team will miss out on playoffs and DPT with 4 games remaining.

Shakhtar play Porto in 1st vs 3rd, this game could very well decide the title.
