PROMOTION SECURED!!!! This is one of my greatest achievements in any form of ESMS over the years (on and off), given what the squad was like at day one, and what it still looks like today really no one gave us any chance at any point.

On the game, we knew a draw would do so, and with 3 key men out we went boring and basic to a degree and just wanted the clock to tick off. We trailed just inside the second half but one of our better performers this season at the back Sideshow Bob popped up with the much welcome equalizer. By no means one of our better displays of the season but we did enough to say we got what we deserved and with 2 games left, a fit squad we just need to complete the job of winning the league.

EFL2 Promotion Battle

The pick of the bunch was Wolfsburg vs Atalanta, 6th vs 7th. A close 2-1 game was fought out but Wolfsburg did enough to cling onto the victory, with Lazio losing, Wolfsburg leapfrog two positions into 5th place, only a point behind 4th place Union Berlin who could only muster a draw against Ajax.

With both Porto and Benfica winning the top 3 seems pretty secure, but in what order? Shakhtar draw to have a 4 point cushion going into the final 2 games and 3 points seperate Porto and Benfica with Benfica having the superior goal difference. My best guess would be those 3 positions remain as they are.

That leaves 1 team to miss out on playoffs and 4th place Union Berlin have a tough fixture at home to 3rd place Porto, Wolfsburg in 5th play 6th place Lazio.

Round 37 will very much decide whether it goes to the wire or whether it will be all sewn up before the final fixture.
