Round 1 of S6 - Monday 30th June
The final game and biggest game in FFO was played out today in front of billions of football lovers worldwide.
It would bring to the table two managers who perhaps prefer to stay out of the disco limelight and do their talking mainly on the pitch.
On neutral ground, tactical advantage could prove crucial and Atletico managed to do just that. They enjoyed the early exchanges but had to wait until the 40th minute when a Palacios corner was hammered home by Pino. That advantage was doubled just before half time with Frimpong chipping home. 2-0 Halftime.
The game changed right after the break when ex-Atletico man Paqueta scored with a great bicycle kick. The game would remain on a knife-edge until the 90mth minute when K_Havertz finished the contest with a controversial settler.
An absolutely delighted Simon Marsh spoke at the final whistle "Its been a fair few seasons of hard work that has finally culminated in winning the big one. Year on year the squad has been improved and as I always say in this game, you get out of it what you put into it. We are going to go party away into the night and then we need to re-assess the squad to see if we can come stronger next season".
Marsh had words for Inter Milans John Read "Its a shame someone had to lose and hopefully John will get his hands back on a trophy sooner rather than later. He is one of FFOs good guys and I am sure he will have Inter firing again next season".
