      Crystal Palace 5-3 Leicester City

Three wins on the spin now, and four in our last five with our form coming together at a nice time. Similar game and scoreline to the Cardiff fixture other than we went 1-2 behind in this one. Took the lead for it to be 3-2 in 17 mins, and despite being pegged back to 3-3, Martinez did what he is here to do. Fantastic debut for Pogba too.

The goals conceded remain a concern, but hard to get too stroppy about when you’ve just managed 11 in 2 home games. Wrexham next in the FA Cup QFs tomorrow, and then up to Sheffield United on Friday.

Good game Darren, and good luck for the rest of the season!

        MANCHESTER UNITED 1-1Wolves

What a poor result. We dominated the game against a depleted Wolves side, threw everything at them but once breaking the deadlock, almost instantly conceded the equalizing penalty.

Not good enough, we can say we deserved more but a wasteful day combined with one of the worst performing 'keepers in the league, what can we say.

Not much more to add but now 5 points behind the top, looks more and more like we've let it go again.

          Bristol City 1 Liverpool 4

I'm not really one for playing attacking (George Graham approach to football) but I saw that Bristol were missing their only decent striker so even allowing for giving away the tactical bonus etc we still felt confident we would outscore them.

The final score line flatters us but we'll happily take it. A small boost to our goal difference and some good minutes for a couple of our squaddies makes it a rare good day for us.

FA Cup up next against a very good Southampton side with both sides at full strength.

            Chelsea 6 - 0 Cardiff City

A big win for Chelsea with recent signing Renato Sanches, the DM, bagging himself a hat trick. Firmino scored two and Casamiro who is becoming a cult hero for the club also got his name onto the score sheet. Only 3 bookings for the team this time.

              Aston Villa 5 - 1 Arsenal

An absolute horror show from us in this one and a result that really has made me consider if I have the time to continue managing the red side of North London. We cannot have any arguments with the result, we were poor and fair play to Villa, they took full advantage of a side that lacks confidence and smashed us all over. Near each other in the table we had to get something from this one and just couldn't get going which is poor and really not acceptable for a side that is looking to secure Champions League football next season.

Something has to change whether it be me stepping down, looking at some transfers possibly but the enjoyment went a good few games and its a case of going through the motions but take nothing away from Villa, they were head and shoulders above us today.
